Dan Damon - Ordinand and Videomaker

I am training for ordination in the Church in Wales. Before that, I was a radio engineer and, from 1982 , a broadcast journalist. I joined LBC near the giant thundering print rooms on Fleet Street. In 1987, with Sian my much more creative wife, I started the TV3 Scansat newsroom. Then in 1989 we launched News Network International, our news agency in Budapest, Hungary. We filmed liberation from Communism in Hungary, Romania, East Germany and Albania. We chronicled the disintegration of Yugoslavia from Slovenia to Bosnia. And we worked across the former Soviet Union and the Middle East. We returned to the UK in 1995 and I worked for the BBC from then until 2021.
